Elderly Ohio Man Found Frozen to Death in Pond near His Home

A 76-year-old Ohio man was found dead in a pond near his house, according to police.
The body of the man, who has not yet been named, was discovered frozen in a small landscaping pond at his home in Vermilion, a city in Erie and Lorain counties. He was found after a neighbor asked the police to carry out a welfare check at the property on Tuesday.
When Vermilion police arrived at the house, they found the man frozen with groceries near the scene.

UPS driver discovers man frozen to death in front of his Michigan home

CAMBRIDGE TWP. The body of an 80-year-old man was found frozen in front of his house Wednesday by a UPS employee.
Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers received a call at about 6:15 p.m. from the UPS employee about a person in the roadway outside his residence in the 400 block of Knapp Road in Cambridge Township and dispatched emergency personnel, according to Michigan State Police Detective Sgt. Larry Rothman.
State police troopers arrived at the scene and found Richard Theodore Kokochak lying in a curved driveway close to his car.

LENAWEE COUNTY, MI – A UPS driver found the body of an elderly man in the driveway of the man’s Cambridge Township home on Wednesday, police said.
The driver called police around 6:15 p.m., Dec. 16 after finding the man in the 400 block of Knapp Road, Michigan State Police Det. Sgt. Larry Rothman told the Adrian Daily Telegram.
Troopers found 80-year-old Richard Theodore Kokochak dead in his curved driveway, close to his car, the Telegram reported.
