[Submitted photo] Work on Missouri Military Academy’s Memorial Chapel steeple was completed in the fall 2020 semester as part of the restoration of the historic building. The Memorial Chapel has been a treasured part of MMA’s history and traditions since 1961. A generous $19,000 grant from Allen P. and Josephine B. Green Foundation, a private foundation that is focused on improving the quality of life in Missouri, funded the steeple restoration project. After a half-century of use, the effects of time and weather had taken a toll on the chapel, creating the need for renovating and restoring the important center of cadet life activity.
