Breaking news, a massive evacuation effort is under way right now as more than 100,000 people are trying to get out of the way of a potentially catastrophic failure at the Lake Oroville dam. If that is not addressed and we dont take care of that and mitigate it properly, essentially what were looking at is approximately a 30foot wall of water good evening. Im eric thomas. Were waiting for the start of a News Conference on the latest of the situation at Lake Oroville dam. The dam is near chico 160 highs northeast of San Francisco. The problem is with an emergency spillway designed to relieve pressure on the dam when its holding too much water.
