The initial results showed the measure failing by just 23 votes. According to Ohio law, any local race with a final margin within 0.5% must go to a recount.
There were 3,566 votes cast in favor of the 8.32-mill bond issue and 3,603 against. The bond issue was to fund the construction of a new high school and elementary school.
