I have to tell you that I ve been on-air as a radio personality for every school shooting since the Columbine High School Massacre. We broke the news and stayed on during the Sandy Hook shooting. It s never easy to break that kind of tragic news especially when children are losing their lives. Luckily, nobody was killed during this terrible shooting just hours away from our schools right here in Boise.
BREAKING: 3 Shot At Idaho Middle School
Rigby, ID – Two students and one custodian were shot by a student at Rigby Middle School on Thursday morning.
Jefferson County Sheriff Steve Anderson told East Idaho News that the shooter was in custody.
The school district hasn’t released any details yet other than to confirm there had been an “active shooter” incident on campus.
Idaho Falls Fire Department Spokeswoman Kerry Hammon confirmed to reporters that three victims had been transported by Ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, East Idaho News reported.
Hammon said all three people were in stable condition.
Multiple law enforcement agencies have responded to the scene to assist and the Rigby Middle School remained in lockdown as the buildings were search room-by-room, the East Idaho News reported.

RIGBY, Idaho It is an absolute blessing that two students and a custodian were not more seriously injured or killed after being shot Thursday morning at Rigby Middle School.
Dr. Michael Lemon, the trauma medical director at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, said during a news conference at the Jefferson School District Office that three victims sustained injuries that were not life-threatening injuries and should recover.
The school employee was shot one time in what Lemon described as a through-and-through extremity injury. He was treated and released by Thursday afternoon. One student was shot once in an extremity and may require surgery, according to Lemon. The other student was potentially shot twice, and two limbs were hit.
