INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –Riley Children’s Foundation had a lot to celebrate on Wednesday after they received a check for $30,000 from Gilligan Company-owned Popeyes Louisiana Chicken in Indianapolis.
The foundation says the money will be used to help kids at Riley Hospital for Children. They say employees at all 16 Indianapolis Popeyes helped raise money by encouraging customers to donate to the hospital.
Alane Helmer, Riley Children’s Foundation Associate Vice President of Corporate & Foundation Giving, says this was all made possible thanks to the support from the community.
“This type of generosity shown by Popeyes is just an example of the way that Hoosiers care for each other,” said Helmer.
