The charity in august. It sits right next to the worker house, but it needs some improvements. So last summer the catholic worker house held a fundraiser at the quarter barrel arcade and brewery to help pay for those improvements. So far this year, the nonprofit has helped more than 250 families. Kcrg tv nines phil reed looked at the house today and joins us now. Phil what is the catholic worker house going to do with it . Beth, its board of directors decided lat shelter. A family is normally allowed only 90 days to stay at the catholic worker house. During that time they are expected to find a job and permanent housing. But some families cant do that in three months. So the extended shelter will give three families at a time an extra six months to get back on their feet. During a traffic stop in cedar rapidsearlier this month has the support of his union. The Police Bargaining Union says it fully backs officer lucas jones and feels confident that a grand jury will officer jones pulled over Jerime Mitchell early on november 1st.
