KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended lower against the US dollar today in tandem with most regional currencies as the US Federal Reserve (Fed) is likely to maintain its restrictive stance on interest rates for a protracted period.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended almost unchanged against the US dollar today amid subdued demand as the US Dollar Index (DXY) maintained its high levels, an economist said.

The ringgit is expected to trade range-bound amid in a cautious mode, hovering around the RM4.76 level with an upside bias against the US dollar this week, said an analyst.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar this morning, weighed down by robust US labour market data, said an analyst. 

MOST Asian currencies posted weekly losses on Friday, as investors weighed shaky recovery in the world's second-largest economy and dwindling prospects of early interest rate cuts in the United States.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended the week higher against the US dollar today despite the greenback’s resiliency which stayed strong amid fading hopes of an early US rate cut and strong United States (US) economic data, dealers said.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened lower against the firmer US dollar today as the United States (US) equities continued to perform favourably, said an analyst. 

As the cost of living back home soars, Singaporeans are taking advantage of their local dollar’s unprecedented strength. And the Malaysian ringgit isn’t the only Asian currency at a record low against it.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit closed lower against the US dollar today as the greenback stayed firm amid fading hopes of an early US rate cut as well as China’s disappointing economic data, dealers said.

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Razak took a swipe on the declining ringgit in a Facebook post on Thursday (Feb 8).
