KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened marginally lower on Monday amid cautious sentiments ahead of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) announcement for the second quarter of 2023 (2Q 2023) this Friday, said analysts.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended lower against the US dollar on Monday in tandem with the weaker regional currency performances following the strengthening of the greenback, an economist said.

The ringgit will likely stay within a narrow range of RM4.57 to RM4.60 against the US dollar this week due to the global market indicating a stronger greenback, said an analyst.
