KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar on Monday due to the lack of buying interest, said a dealer.

The ringgit is expected to trade on an upward bias against the US dollar next week due to apprehension towards the decision to further hike interest rates by the Federal Reserve (Fed), said an analyst.
