Madhya Pradesh has secured first place among the states in the 4th National Water Awards-2022, official sources said on Saturday.

According to sources, Madhya Pradesh won the top place in the Best State category, followed by Odisha which secured the 2nd position while Andhra Pradesh and Bihar were announced as joint winners for the 3rd position, sources said. New Delhi, May 20: Madhya Pradesh has secured first place among the states in the 4th National Water Awards-2022, official sources said on Saturday.

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State assigned the independent charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice in addition to his existing portfolios, in place of Kiren Rijiju.

The 70-year-old leader was previously the Union Minister of State for Culture under the Narendra Modi-led government.

Meghwal, who is now at the helm of the Law Ministry, has not previously held a cabinet rank.
