A fire caused disruption in the Roosecote area of Barrow on Monday. Emergency services attended the incident on Roa Island Road just after 10am following a report that a van was on fire. Cumbria police have confirmed that no injuries were reported and that the event is not being treated as suspicious. They added: “Police were contacted at 10.08am on April 19 to a report of a fire on Roa Island Road, Barrow. The road was blocked while officers, members of the fire service, Highways England and recovery were on scene but has since reopened.”
South Cumbria Magistrates Court at Barrow. A TEENAGER has been charged with drink driving, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident. Max William Nickson is said to have also failed to report an accident in a string of charges said to have been committed on Rampside Road and Roa Island Road in Barrow on December 31. The 18-year-old, of Meadowland Avenue in Barrow, is due to appear at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
