None of the 10 Jefferson Circuit Court judges who serve on Family Court drew a challenger, and only two incumbents in District Court face opposition.

Patrick Baker is the second man former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin pardoned who has been successfully prosecuted in federal court.

The dropped rule would have held some court hearings without a judge present to help reduce a backlog created by the coronavirus pandemic.

The federal government is trying to convict Patrick Baker of a fatal shooting for which he was pardoned in 2019 by then-Gov. Matt Bevin.
