Why was Aiden Fuccis mother arrested? Crystal Lane Smith, 35, turned herself in and was arrested on a charge of tampering with evidence, which is considered a third-degree felony in Florida. Smith reportedly tried to wash the blood off of Fucci’s jeans hours after Bailey was allegedly stabbed to death, according to investigators. She is being held on a $25,000 bond. The 14-year-old accused of killing his 13-year-old schoolmate Tristyn Bailey earlier this month is now in the juvenile wing of the Duval County jail awaiting his arraignment in st. Johns County on a first-degree murder charge.
