Acadiana is in for more fine and increasingly warmer weather as the week wears on, but do expect the chance of scattered showers for Friday and portions of the weekend.

The weather pattern for Acadiana this week continues to look relatively benign while a slow warming trend is expected.

After a pleasant Friday evening for Acadiana, the weather will turn unsettled into Saturday with clouds and some scattered showers a good bet for the area.

Acadiana is in store for warmer and more humid conditions Wednesday ahead of our next weather-maker that should bring showers and storms to the area Thursday.

The threat of severe weather is once again dominating Louisiana's weather for the next 24 to 48 hours.

A relatively wavy jet-stream pattern across the southern U.S. will bring a few disturbance toward Acadiana through mid-week allowing for some scattered shower activity.

Many Louisiana school systems are monitoring the changes in the forecast should class schedule changes be necessary.
