A weak westward drifting disturbance off the coast of Louisiana will keep plenty of clouds and decent rain chances in the forecast for Acadiana much of this week.

After nearly two weeks of highs in the mid-upper 90s, it appears that our stretch of very hot weather will come to an end next week thanks to increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms.

More high heat is in the forecast for Acadiana through the weekend, but a change in the pattern, with a better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected into next week.
