At 10 a.m. Wednesday, Iowa reported 682 more positive test results of COVID-19 and 15 additional COVID-19-related deaths including another in Johnson County since the state s tally at 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to Coronavirus.Iowa.gov.
The state switched last week from reporting the number of individuals who ve tested positive for the disease to simply reporting the number of known positive test results, leading to a sharp increase in the known number of total positive tests.
Officials report a total of 5,415 people with COVID-19 have died from the disease across the state, including 73 in Johnson County. The county s first death was reported April 4, 2020.
