Francis Iron re-elected as Canoe Lake Cree First Nation chief There are a number of familiar faces on the newly elected Canoe Lake Cree First Nation chief and council. Francis Iron has been re-elected as chief and Bernice Iron, Lenny Iron, Lorne Iron, Wilfred Iron and Robert Opikokew will all serve another term on council. Walter Coulineur is the lone newly elected councillor. A total of six candidates ran for chief and 28 candidates for council. The election was held on Dec. 16.
