Police have executed a search warrant and seized a carnival ride as part of a criminal investigation after a child was thrown from the ride and critically injured in Antioch.
Antioch police have seized the carnival ride that threw a 10-year-old boy to the ground Sunday at the Taste of Antioch, authorities announced Wednesday.
The mother of a 10-year-old boy thrown from a carnival ride in Antioch said her critically injured son has undergone major surgeries and has a "long road to recovery."
The boy, who was thrown from a carnival ride Sunday, is expected to survive. The family has raised more than $16,000 from a GoFundMe set up to help with expenses.
