New guidelines released Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention could give a new boost to airports.
Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport has recently seen a steady rise of departing travelers and expects more in the coming months. With almost 23,000 departing passengers, last Friday was the busiest day at BWI-Marshall since Maryland s COVID-19 state of emergency took effect.
According to the CDC s new travel guidelines, fully vaccinated people can now travel within the U.S. and no COVID-19 testing or post-travel self-quarantining is required. It makes me feel comfortable traveling and knowing the fact that we have been vaccinated, we have both our vaccines, we received both of them, so we feel kind of comfortable, but we re still going to be safe, said Cherie Brown, a traveler.
