Juventus could only manage a 1-1 draw against Atalanta in Serie A on Wednesday evening, with Cristiano Ronaldo missing a penalty.
Andrea Pirlo opted for three changes to the side that edged Genoa, as Danilo, Arthur Melo and Alvaro Morata entered. Atalanta went with a single switch in Jose Luis Palomino.
Morata should have opened the scoring on 12 minutes when Berat Djimisti s tack on Ronaldo put the ball into his path, however the striker went for the back-heel and failed to hit the target with the net gaping.
Pirlo was forced into a change on 27 minutes when Arthur Melo had to be taken off following a tackle from Cristian Romero, with Adrien Rabiot brought on as his replacement.
