PROVO, Utah - No. 8 BYU men’s track and field registered 16 personal records, including one of the fastest 4x100-meter relay performances in program history as the team embarked on a tuneup this weekend before the NCAA West Preliminaries take place May 24-27 in California.

PROVO, Utah - No. 8 BYU Men’s Track & Field set several personal records for a second consecutive day at the Robison Track, tallying 11 to go along with three new top-10 program records. “Yesterday was a really good day, and everybody built off of that momentum today to keep it going,” said BYU sprints coach Kyle Grossarth. “All in all, a great weekend as we get ready for regionals over the next week. Everybody is looking great.”

PROVO, Utah — No. 12 BYU women’s track and field posted six personal bests across three different events at the BYU-Westminster Dual Meet at Robison Track and Field Complex on Wednesday. BYU’s star runner Courtney Wayment can run a wide range of races, but her heart is in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, her father’s event. The steeplechase, which was originally an Irish horse race from one steeple to the next over streams and stone walls, throws in her path water jumps and heavy wooden barriers spread out over nearly two miles.
