Who would have thought that vacuum cleaners could be interesting?
Enter John Cadle believes they are. The owner of John’s Sweeper Service in Dover, not only gives the customer as much information as possible about the product but also leads tours through his shop, so that one can actually touch the pieces that built the history of the vacuum cleaner.
Cadle, 37, son of Beth and Rod Cadle of Dover, developed an early curiosity about what made things run.
“At 12, I was taking sweepers apart and putting them back together,” he said. “I was intrigued with the way the suction, the fans and the brushes worked.”
