A small East Sutherland community yesterday gave a right royal welcome to a very special guest.

ASG Commercial, Inverness, is marketing the four-bedroom hostelry, and two self-contained flats, for offers over £310,000.

Rogart Development Trust chairman Jonathan Hedges gave an update on the mart project at a meeting of Rogart Community Council last week.

Hugh Mackay, who is aged 93, and Archie Sutherland, aged just three months, helped dig in the tree.

Rogart Development Trust said that contractors will begin work on the scheme on Thursday, February 24.

Rogart Development Trust is to hold the official opening of the footbridge at Dalmore on Monday, November 15.
