Just two months before the EU s 2030 Fit for 55% climate and energy package is due, and with leaders gathering for US President Biden s climate summit later this week, the EU will turn up having just agreed a dismal Climate Law which will do little to fight the planetary crisis.

The final agreement contains a 2030 climate target of at least 55% net emissions as per the December 2020 European Council guidance - far below the 65% target the science says is needed, and the European Parliament s position of 60%.
