Walter Figueira’s speculative shot somehow went under the Hoops goalkeeper Alan Mannus on 82 minutes to give the hosts the lead.

Ilija Ilic
Troy Lesesne had been tracking the “Serbian Sniper” for quite some time. On Monday he got his man.
Forward Ilija Ilic, nicknamed the “Serbian Sniper” for his prolific goal-scoring ability, officially joined New Mexico United for the 2021 season on Monday. The 29-year-old from Belgrade said he believes NMU is ready to compete for a USL Championship title and he wants to be part of the chase.
“My standards are really high,” Ilic said in Zoom media conference. “I always play to win a championship. The only thing I want to bring to New Mexico is trophies. We’ll see if I can help make that happen.”
