There will be two three-year term selectmen seats up for election this year as well as one Hoosac Valley Regional School District Committee seat. Robert Ciskowski resigned last month from the Board of Selectmen, months short of the end of his second three-year term in May, leaving that seat vacant. The second selectman seat is currently held by Ron DeAngelis, who won it as a two-year term in 2019 as part of the expansion of the board from three to five members. The board held a quick meeting Friday in order to approve the hiring of a special town counsel, and Chairwoman Michelle Francesconi said attorney Jeff Grandchamp indicated he was willing to hold the position.
