On that date, Dwyer completed a six month licence disqualification and he was instructed by the court to reapply, however, failed to do so. Around 3pm on Tuesday, February 9 police from Coomera Road Policing Unit on the Gold Coast were conducting speeding enforcement on Gilston Rd, Nerang. Dwyer was detected speeding in a grey Volkswagen Amarok ute and was stopped for the offence. A roadside computer check confirmed Dwyer was unlicensed at the time and he had no lawful or emergency reason for driving.

A Bargara woman admitted to smoking three bongs before driving in Gladstone, a court heard.
Jane Deborah Van Meegen, 52, pleaded guilty in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to drug driving.
Prosecutor Kelvin Boyd read the facts of Van Meegen’s case to the court and Acting Magistrate Ron Muirhead.
Police from the Calliope Road Policing Unit intercepted Van Meegen on Dawson Road, West Gladstone at 10.13am on March 15.
Van Meegen submitted to a roadside drug test which returned a positive result and she was taken to the Gladstone Police Station for further testing.
When questioned, Van Meegen admitted to smoking three bongs which contained cannabis and could offer no emergency reason for driving.

A woman who was intercepted by police twice in three months while high at the wheel faced Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Demi Jalese Blake, 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving.

On Friday, January 1, around 5.25am police intercepted Blake driving a Mazda sedan on Gladstone Benaraby Road.
She submitted to a roadside drug test which returned a positive result and she was taken to the police vehicle for further testing.
The test concluded, indicating the presence of a relevant drug in Blake’s saliva and she was issued a notice to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court and a certificate of analysis.

A Boyne Island man who admitted to consuming three schooners at a Gladstone pub prior to being intercepted by police appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Bill Mcauley, 38, pleaded guilty to driving over the general alcohol limit.

On Friday, March 26, around 4.30pm, police from Calliope Road Policing Unit were performing static random breath testing on Kirkwood Road when they intercepted Mcauley.
He submitted to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result and he was taken back to the Gladstone Police Station for further testing.
