Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, while sharing the information, stated that the MC had planned a major property sealing drive of property tax defaulters on January 1, 2024.
During the meeting, the officials informed the mayor that till now only Rs 39 lakh has been received in the form of building approval plan and development charges from farm houses, houses and showrooms built in the district.
In the meeting, the MC commissioner asked the officials about the property tax collection and the officials informed him that from April to September, a total of Rs 9 crore have been deposited by the people who were property tax defaulters.
MC deputy commissioner Apoorva Chaudhary said the residents of MDC 4 and 5 can visit the camps to get their property IDs corrected, deposit the property tax, and other property tax related works.
