a gun show or whether it be internet sales or classified ads. you know, they just you know, ratchet up the rhetoric. passed the lies on and stuck to this party line that was defined by lies. did you get the sense when when somebody throws that back in your face, do you get the sense that they had internalized that and believed that was what this bill would do? did you get the sense they were just kind of going through the motions and got to tell them why we are against and it this is what we will go with because that s the script? sadly going through the motions. the staff in most situation are sympathetic when they bump into someone like me. i was with roxana green whose daughter was shot and killed in tucson. 9-year-old christina taylor. i was with people from aurora. i was with people from newtown and virginia tech. and day-to-day shootings. we are trying to have a logical conversation about let s apply a background check to all buyers. we do background checks in so many w

strength to mount a public crusade like this which inevitably is a constant reminder of the tragic way you lost your daughter. well, i come from very strong people. my mom was a very strong woman. my mother was a strong woman. christina would have been a very successful and strong woman had she not been robbed of the opportunity. so i am doing this for my daughter. i m doing it for all of the children and innocent people out there. and i m really confidant that it s going to happen. it didn t happen today but it will happen. roxana, one of the things that we keep hearing from the nra is that nothing that is being proposed would affect the outcome from these shootings and yet we know from the forensic evidence that your daughter was hit with a bullet some time after the 12th bullet and under what used to be a law in this country, imagimagazines were li
two guns that we have locked in safe at home. what we do want is what the majority of nra members and other americans want, responsible changes in our laws to require responsible gun ownership and reduce gun violence. taking the argument beyond gunowners versus nongunowner, taking the argument beyond absolutist gun anarchy versus a complete gun ban, this turn away from that kind of binary nonsense is the kind of turn in the conversation that typically signifies that there might be movement ahead, that people are getting real about maybe actually getting something done. at the same time on the same day, on the same anniversary, another overture today from roxana green. the mother of 9-year-old christina taylor green who was killed in the tucson shooting two years ago. she appears in an ad that appeared in seven cities today including washington, d.c. and tucson. this ad is paid for by the
drones armed in u.s. skies being used to arrest people in north dakota. the second amendment isn t there for duck hunting. it s there to protect us from tyrannical government and street thugs. joining me is roxana green, whose daughter christina taylor green was killed in that tucson massacre, and former governor of pennsylvania and mayor of philadelphia, ed ren del. you have both had your own experiences. it s so nice to have you on. thank you. what s your sort of mental and emotional reaction when you hear someone like alex jones spew that sort of armageddon language about guns? i m speechless. i really don t even know what to say. i have no comment. unbelievable. governor, you have experienced pennsylvania is relatively free of insane people, but you hear of people this guy is talking about the united states being a tierney coming to take his guns
