[As you may be aware, Michigan won the national championship. I've said my bit on what this means to me, and now it's everyone else's turn. We're inviting everyone who's contributed to the blog over its existence to write whatever they want about the 2023 football team, and hope to roll out a series of these over the course of the next few months. We start with Ace Anbender, because we could not start with anyone else. --Brian] “I’m impressed by how fast you moved”...

The new phonebooks are here, and they are heavy. Unlike most years, when fall rosters are when we learn a guy or two has graduated and moved on, everybody expected to be on the roster was on it. I wouldn't say there's no news, however, because some of the reported masses are eye-opening indeed.

The new phonebook's here, but since they don't list weight changes in spring there's even less than usual to glean from the updated rosters. The big notes: Jalen Perry is gone. Alessandro Lorenzetti moved to DL. Kalel Mullings is an LB/RB. Order of the positions seems significant? The new guys have numbers, and some of them have interesting weights. Also there were some position changes among younger players. So let's be thorough anyways. DEPARTURES One guy in Michigan rememb...

In perhaps the most significant transfer out of the 2022-23 Michigan Football offseason, sophomore WR Andrel Anthony is departing the program: THANK YOU MICHIGAN. GO BLUE FOREVER💙 1. pic.twitter.com/xUZufbwMae — Andrel Anthony Jr. (@andrel_jr) January 5, 2023 The sophomore receiver appeared in all fourteen games this season for the Wolverines, recording seven catches for 80 yards and one touchdown. This was a step down from his freshman season statline of twelve catches for 248 yards and ...

TECHNICAL NOTES: I believe I've fixed the audio offset issue. FORMATION NOTES: Michigan didn't do anything particularly unusual. A reminder for chart aficionados: This gets listed as "Gun TTB", for "trips tight bunch." Usually this is two tight ends so far this year but in the past it has been one TE and a couple WRs. "Gun TTE" is "twins twin TE", with two WRs to one side of the formation and two inline TEs. Hawaii was a 4-3 with few surprises or...

Previously: The Story 2010, 2009, 2008. Preview 2010. It was the best time I'd ever had at a Chili's. Nothing whatsoever distinguished it from an average visit to Chili's. The beer was light American lager. The chicken was a bit dry, the cheese the usual half-step up from stuff you'd get in a great red-labeled cube. The waitress was a cheerful slab of the Midwest, and the bill was perfectly reasonable. I grinned and laughed and fought off bouts of body-encompassing tiredness....

Michigan released a spring roster update this week. Does it have much information in it? Nope. Are Yellowpages even thick enough for a kid to sit on anymore? Nope. Are we going to do The Jerk anyway? Of course we are. Other sites that cover Michigan checked it for things a casual fan might want to know about. But here at MGoBlog, we (use various Excel functions to) notice everything. Let’s =if(B2=vlookup all the columns! Here’s my comprehensive roster file, and our updated Depth Chart by ...

Https://youtu.be/SKzgCeMqmXo Somebody put together their list of the most iconic plays for all the D1 football programs. Not sure I agree that Desmond's punt return is #1 for Michigan. I'd be torn between Wangler to Carter and Desmond v ND,...and maybe Garvey Craw v OSU '69, but that's just my opinion.
