Kota Kinabalu: Another fascinating racing chapter will be added tomorrow (Sunday) to the on-going rivalry of Coronation II and One Kinabalu.
In their previous Class 1 contest on June 4, Coronation II emerged champion and took home the Harvest Festival Cup.
One Kinabalu ran a strong third behind Smart Lad.
Slated to run at 4.50pm Class 1 over a distance of 1100m sand track, Coronation II is tipped to rule Tambalang track again.
A potential gatecrasher to the party is Lucky Magic (ex Evil Wesley) with good fitness and form of late.
Lucky Magic last won against Coronation II on August 6 on 1600m sand track.
Kota Kinabalu: Racing fans will likely bear witness to an exhilarating three-cornered thriller in Tambalang tomorrow (Sunday).
Three of Tambalang’s best Class 2 thoroughbreds, Blarney Blink, Messi and Classic Head, are expected to do battle over 1400m on turf track at 5.05pm.
With his recent drop to Class 2, Blarney Blink, ever diligent and hardworking type, looks a distinct possibility to clinch this race.
However, Messi, in good shape and form, may have a major say in this contest. He had finished a strong second behind Zack (since promoted to Class 1) in a Class 2 race on July 16.
Kota Kinabalu: With the Hong Kong racing break, attention in recent weeks was on some of Royal Sabah Turf Club’s (RSTC) thoroughbreds that fought bravely in Singapore.
The racing focus is back home tomorrow (Sunday), with the running of Class 1 race at 5.05pm on sand track over 1600m at Tambalang Racecourse.
Kota Kinabalu: It was double happiness for Sabah and for Royal Sabah Turf Club (RSTC) with Sabah Star and Sabah Ace coming in first in their respective races on Derby Day at Singapore Turf Club last Sunday (July 23).
