UPDATE: Cross Lake Crashed Plane Found, Pilot Identified UPDATE: Pilot killed in single engine plane crash has been identified as Freddie Phillips. The fixed-wing plane took off from Shreveport Regional Airport at 2:36 p.m. Sunday and crashed into Cross Lake about ten minutes after takeoff. The plane is owned by Pocket Jet LLC on Marshall Street in Shreveport. Phillips was the manager of that company. He was also CEO of Phillips Energy. SFD Rescues Resident From House Fire Several Firefighter and police units responded to a fire Sunday evening on 331 McCormick street in Highland. A call was put in about the one-story house fire at 6:35. When responders arrived on the scene they were told by a neighbor that the homeowner was still inside the house.
