Stroud District Council’s planning committee on Tuesday night (February 23) unanimously approved the demolition of units in the business park and industrial estate, as well as rebuild the canal basin and highways infrastructure. The buildings which the industrial factories were based are now decaying and need replacement since they closed. Councillor Haydn Jones (C, Berkeley Vale) said in the meeting: “This is clearly a very important project for the district. It has been going on for a long time across different administrations.
