Students at the University of Colorado-Boulder recognized a need for a space where Black students, faculty and alumni could find a sense of community and belonging.  Then, they did something about it and worked with their professor, Dr. Reiland Rabaka, to form the Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS) – it can also be referred to as the cause.
