An Olathe man pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to a felony charge connected to his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

A former Kansas City-area Proud Boy charged with multiple felonies for conspiring to breach the Capitol on Jan. 6 pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to one count.

Federal prosecutors said Christopher Kuehne conspired with other KC-area Proud Boys to enter the Capitol forcibly on Jan. 6 and “stop, delay and hinder the Congressional proceeding occurring that day.”

These 67 rising stars in healthcare are 40 years old or younger. They have risen quickly within the ranks of their organizations and are committed to improving healthcare via enhanced patient experience, reduced costs and expanded care access.

The government said one of the defendants “has reached a plea agreement with the government and a plea hearing has been tentatively scheduled.”

An elementary school teacher, a U.S. Marine veteran, two convicted felons, a gun store owner and a civil engineer. These are some of the Missourians charged in Capitol riot cases.

William Chrestman of Olathe has been held without bond since his arrest Feb. 11, 2021. The Army veteran was captured on numerous videos alongside other Proud Boys, dressed in tactical gear, carrying an ax handle and stirring up the Jan. 6 crowd.

Monday’s action is the latest in a string of continuances in KC Proud Boy William Chrestman’s case. The last hearing was March 2, 2022. Since then, the hearings have been pushed back eight times.

The UH Mānoa Office of the Provost has formally initiated the search for the dean of the John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Two years have passed since the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. The legal cases of hundreds of people charged in connection with the insurrection are still winding their way through the courts.
