A man with a similar name and age was one of three Santa Maria gang members arrested last summer in Lompoc after a traffic stop during which police determined the driver and two passengers were on probation.
Lompoc police searched the vehicle early on July 31, and found a concealed loaded .40-caliber handgun that had the serial number obliterated, and an illegal, large-capacity loaded magazine.
Nunez-Escamilla and another passenger reportedly were found in possession of several different quantities of methamphetamine, which totaled over 13 grams.
