Christopher M. Kellys case dismissal was announced Wednesday, coinciding with a guilty plea by a Florida man who carried a Trump 2020 flag into the Capitol during the January 6 riot.

Federal prosecutors have dropped the criminal case against a Rockland County, N.Y., man who was accused of participating in the U.S. Capitol riot. This appears to be the first such move by the Justice Department in its sprawling Jan. 6 prosecution.

Federal prosecutors have dropped the criminal case against a New York man who was accused of participating in the riot at the U.S. Capitol, in what appears to be the first such move by the Justice Department in its sprawling Jan. 6 prosecution.

The new details were included in an indictment against four rioters - Joseph Hackett, 50, Jason Dolan, 40, William Isaacs, 21, and another, unnamed defendant, filed on Monday.
