AAUW commemorates Roe v. Wade ruling The Los Altos/Mountain View branch of the American Association of University Women is scheduled to commemorate the 48th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion with a Zoom presentation 2-3 p.m. Jan. 22. Laurie Bertram Roberts, executive director of the Yellowhammer Fund, an abortion fund and reproductive justice organization focused on the Deep South, will discuss the impact of anti-choice restrictions. An AAUW press release said the Yellowhammer Fund’s approach to abortion funding and practical support is “one prong in alleviating the governmental and economic coercion placed on the bodies of people of low income – especially those who are people of color.”
