INDIANAPOLIS — This week Indiana Department of Transportation [INDOT] announced a commitment of $50 million in Highway Safety Improvement Program [HSIP] funds to support safety improvement projects on local road

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced on Monday the commitment of $50 million to the Highway Safety Improvement Program to support safety improvement projects on roads across Indiana.

The safety measures will only be in place until a Highway Safety Improvement Program is performed and the intersection is reconstructed into a roundabout.

Yuma County will install a new traffic signal at Highway 95 and Avenue C, adjacent to the Somerton Airport, at an intersection described as “dangerous” by a county supervisor.
