beneficiaries of president trump s agenda have been the coal executives, not the miners. the executives are the ones who benefitted from all of the regulatory roll backs while the miners are seeing actually spiking job losses, bankruptcies, this administration has actually rolled back the safety protections that were put in place after deadly mine collapses earlier in this decade. and of course you saw the miners there who are now fighting for their pensions, which they say are actually federally guaranteed. we have been talking about mitch mcconnell, talk about his role in this, because it appears he s not that helpful either. mitch mcconnell has refused to bring forward this miners protection act to shore that up, and from mcconnell s perspective, because we also spoke with his officer, he says, look, this is a crisis across multiple industries. i saw teamsters, mika, in the
customer wants to use icloud, doesn t want to, they can use dropbox or any number of other options. i m showing you this because it s important. but it may not look super exciting. politically, the best thing going for these companies is how dry and complex these hearings might seem. but they do boil down to fundamental values. should our economy have competition or be a monopoly? should you control your private information and maybe your kids information? or should these corporations? and should new companies get to avoid law because of the accident that they re new companies so the old laws didn t happen to mention them because they were written so long ago, websites didn t even exist or should they face the same safety protections as other industries or the way we protect food and water under the law. there is a reason monopoly is a bad word. if you remember the monopoly
[laughter] i m sorry the simplicity of your answer is so wonderful. i m really struck by it. [laughter] at base what it does is it abandons women s safety protections and punishes men for good behavior essentially like, you know, there was a teacher in florida who was punished of because he refused to supervise a female student in the locker room. she said she was a boy. she wanted to change with the boys. and he didn t want to look. and i would think as a feminist like that s how i want all the men in my life to act. that s how i think most women want their fathers and brothers and sons to act and their co-workers when they show up to work like you have a chance to cop that peek and you are like no, no. that would be wrong. the equality act says basically that s a civil rights violation. that s bigotry. i don t think any good is going to come of that. tucker: i think that s very nicely put.

again, thanks to the teachers and the administrators who served in those schools who did their very best. and also thanks to the georgia state patrol and to the national guard, especially the georgia state patrol who had their people at all of the school sites that were required to keep children overnight. we have not heard of any adverse incidents that occurred because of lack of safety protections. so i think that part was done very well. with regard to getting those children home, we have made that a priority. as of yesterday all school children were returned. and that was done over multiple school districts who were affected by the storm. now, yesterday and today another of our priorities has been to deal with those vehicles that are stranded on our roadways. and you will hear more details
