DC asked to decide vegetable vendor’s plea July 3, 2021 LAHORE:The Lahore High Court on Friday directed the deputy commissioner to decide an application of a vegetable vendor who alleged that Raiwind police booked him for selling ‘cheap’ vegetables. Vendor Muhammad Waqas filed a petition requesting the court to quash the FIR registered against him. He also sought registration of an FIR against the government officials. The petitioner’s counsel told the court that police previously registered four cases against his client on charges of selling vegetables on inflated prices and the fifth one for selling the vegetables on cheap prices. Raiwind Assistance Commissioner Adnan Rasheed, present in the court, stated that there had been a typographical error in the text of the FIR.
