On April 26, Dr Sailesh Kumar Yadav, the district magistrate of West Tripura district, reached Manikya Court, a marriage hall in Agartala to stop a wedding ceremony being held in violation of the night curfew imposed in the Tripura capital. The wedding was supposed to be wrapped up by 10 pm the time when night curfew begins but had continued well past the cut-off time. The majority of guests, as seen in a video that has gone viral, were not wearing masks. At a time when Covid is spreading at an alarming rate in the country, this was highly irresponsible behaviour.
