Four killed as boulder hits bus in Kohistan - Newspaper

MANSEHRA: Four people died and seven suffered injuries when a heavy boulder struck a passenger coach on the Karakoram Highway in Lower Kohistan on Wednesday. District police officer Zulfiqar Khan Jadoon told reporters that a huge boulder detached from a mountain struck a passenger coach, which was on way to Gilgit from Rawalpindi, in Pattan, the district headquarters of Lower Kohistan, killing four persons on the spot and injuring seven others. He said Rescue 1122 officials and police personnel shifted the deceased and the injured to the Civil Hospital Pattan. The police identified the deceased as Mohammad Naveed and Tufail Ahmad of Gilgit, army man Mohammad Nasir of Ghizer and Sajid Mohammad of Islamabad.
