The apple ecosystem in India, buoyed by the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for smartphones, has become a significant job creator, employing over 150,000 individuals directly since august 2021. Most of these jobs are filled by first-time job seekers aged 19-24, with an additional 300,000 employed indirectly.

The details of the agreement have been shared with Noida about the planned razing of the 40-storey superstructures that had come up in violation of building bye-laws in Sector 93A of the city.
