Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has planned to upgrade two major flyovers of the country Midmac Flyover on Salwa Road and Industrial Area Flyover to ease traffic flow.
“Midmac Flyover and Industrial Area Flyover will be upgraded in a big way similar to the Passport Office Flyover (commonly known as Jawazat Flyover). The roundabout under both flyovers will be closed and the traffic signals will be upgraded. Entry and exit points of intersections will be expanded,” said Assistant Director of Road Projectors Department at Ashghal, Eng. Salem Al Shawi.

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced completion of services for about 3,000 sub-divisions as part of the Roads and Infrastructure Development Project for New Citizens’ Sub-divisions in Al Wukair South. This comes within Ashghal’s commitment to fulfill its plan to develop roads and infrastructure in various regions of Qatar, to deliver integrated infrastructure for new citizens lands to facilitate for building their homes.
Eng. Salem Al Shawi, Assistant Roads Projects Department Manager at Ashghal clarified that the Roads and Infrastructure Development Project for New Citizens’ Sub-divisions in Al Wukair South, known as Muaither Al Wukair, is one of the roads and infrastructure development projects implemented by Ashghal in Al Wakra Municipality, in order to meet the needs of population expansion in the area. The project covers an area of 1,338 hectares. Besides residential plot
