Houses into Homes has helped furnish more than 1,000 homes since its inception in February 2018 and has diverted hundreds of tons of items from the landfill. In addition to helping families, the organization has created a sense of community among its staff and volunteers.
A group of fifth- and sixth-graders at Wickham Elementary have worked since November to gather donations to create "bedtime boxes" for Houses into Homes, a local nonprofit.
