KUWAIT CITY, May 5: MP Osama Al- Shaheen forwarded queries to His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid about the rationale behind the decision issued on May 3, 2021 to prevent citizens from travelling abroad unless they are vaccinated against covid-19 even if their destination does not impose vaccination as an entry condition. He asked if any of the expatriate workers in the private sector were exempted from the provisions defined by the Higher Committee for addressing coronavirus crisis regarding their entry to Kuwait during the crisis.
He wants to know if the fourth batch of foreign medical teams got vaccinated before arriving in Kuwait, if the expatriate workers at the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs were vaccinated before entering the country, and if these workers were exempted from the travel regulations because the two ministries need their services. The parliamentary Housing Affairs Committee was set to meet Wednesday
