PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Bhd reported a lower net profit of RM236mil for the first quarter ended Sept 30, 2021 (Q1 of financial year 2022 or FY22) as its industrial operations in China absorbed the impact of a slowdown in construction activities in the quarter.
KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Bhd's net profit for the first quarter of its financial year ending June 30, 2022, dipped 16.01% to RM236mil from RM281mil in the previous corresponding quarter due to the impact of a slowdown in China's construction activities on its industrial division.
