Alabama governor Kay Ivey signs legislation banning gender-affirming healthcare for trans youth and discussions of LGBT+ topics in schools. 

GOP Gov. Kay Ivey also signed a bill that would be the state's version of a "don't say gay" law and bans trans students from using the restroom that matches their gender identity.

Anti-trans bills are becoming more and more common in states run by conservative legislatures and administrations.
